Introduction
At the end of last September, I announced that I had been chosen as the Fall Artist in Residence at the Brick Store Museum in Kennebunk, Maine. As a result of this opportunity, my project, titled “Everyone’s a Photographer,” is now open for viewing at the museum beginning on 3/3. The exhibit is accessible during regular museum hours, and admission is $5, which grants access to this exhibit as well as several others.
Exhibit Overview
“Everyone’s a Photographer” showcases a wide array of my own photographs, a timeline highlighting the evolution of photography technology, numerous museum artifacts and historical photos, as well as intriguing statistics about the number of photos taken each year. Being part of this project has been incredibly rewarding for many reasons. I have gained a deeper understanding of the history of photography, with the chance to explore museum artifacts and discover remarkable cameras, daguerreotypes, and photographs—some of which are currently on display.
Exploring Technology and Artificial Intelligence
Throughout the process, I experimented with various Artificial Intelligence tools, most of which are freely accessible online. The exhibit includes examples demonstrating some capabilities of these AI tools and how they contribute to the modern world of photography and to producing various art forms from a single image.
Acknowledgments
I would like to express my gratitude to Leanne Stowe, the Collections Manager at the Brick Store Museum, for her guidance and creativity in helping to bring this project together.
Invitation
If you have a chance to visit the exhibit, please let me know—perhaps I can join you at the museum!
