Shiny New Things

Happy 2025 and welcome to my next new adventure! So many people have their own websites and now I do too!

I get bored easily and when that happens I procrastinate about my long "to do" list. Eventually, I find a shiny new thing that compels me to learn something new by stepping outside my comfort zone. Going "public", getting attention, writing and sharing my photography, all give me some degree of distress. Creating and publishing this website is my latest way of exploring my uncomfort.

I don't just suddenly decide to take a leap one day and start something new. It's a very long and drawn out process.  My technique involves overthinking and then re-overthinking for years before finally diving in. Despite knowing that I will eventually make it happen, the timeline never quickens. Why do I torture myself? I'd say because once I finally move forward and realize my objective, I experience a great sense of relief, pride, and revitalization.

I'm inviting you a bit further into my world, letting you see more of what I see, and hopefully allowing us to feel more connected despite physical distances. As I embark on this new adventure of sharing, I do so with the hope that it will bring a smile, a moment of contemplation, or a sense of togetherness to those who follow along. Thank you for stopping by!

PS: Thanks to Mimi for her expertise and guidance!
